In the Bohr model, electrons are organized in energy levels and to represent a Bohr atomic model concentric circles are used to represent energy levels and dots for electrons.

The lewis dot structure is shorthand way to represent atoms Dots still represent electrons, but they are drawn around the symbol for the element. Only the electrons of the outer energy level (valencia electrons) are drawn.

A Lewis dot structure is like a simplified Bohr model.
