Hyperbolas

-x^2 + 4y^2 = 16

Divide by 4 , write

-x^2/4 + y^2 = 16/4= 4

Now graph function

Vertices ( 4,0) and (-4,0)

Foci = (4.5, 0) and (-4.5,0)

(Demonstration Foci= √4^2 + 2^2 = √20 = 4.5)

Asymtptotes y = -2/4X and y= 2/4X

Endpoint of conjugates are (0,2) and (0,-2). (also named covertex)
