To calculate the slope of a line we need to find at least two points of the line.

For example, for this line, points (0,0) and (1,-3).

We can calculate the slope as:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(-3-0)/(1-0)=(-3)/(1)=-3

Answer: the slope is m=-3.
