The Spinner which is circular is divided into 8 segments

With each labeled A to H

probability = number of possible outcome/ number of total outcome

The probability of the spinner landing on E is = 1/8

Simiarly, the probability of the spinner landing on G is = 1/8

Hence the probability of landing on either E or G is =>

1/8 + 1/8


\begin{gathered} (1)/(8)+(1)/(8)\text{ =}(1+1)/(8)=(2)/(8) \\ \\ (2)/(8)=(1)/(4) \end{gathered}

Answer = 1/4
