2 x - 6 / 4 = 10

\begin{gathered} (2x-6)/(4)=10 \\ \end{gathered}

solve for x

\begin{gathered} (2x-6)/(4)=10 \\ \text{multyply both sides by 4} \\ (2x-6)/(4)\cdot4=10\cdot4 \\ 2x-6=40 \\ \text{add 6 in both sides} \\ 2x-6+6=40+6 \\ 2x=46 \\ \text{divide each side by 2} \\ (2x)/(2)=(46)/(2) \\ x=23 \end{gathered}

so , the answer is x=23
