The distance between the given points is,


\begin{gathered} d=\sqrt[]{(-1-5)^2+(14-4)^2} \\ =\sqrt[]{36+100} \\ =\sqrt[]{136} \\ =2\sqrt[]{34} \end{gathered}

Thus, the distance between the given points is 2√(34).
