Given the absolute function;

f(x)=|-3x-1|

(a)

\begin{gathered} f(-1)=|-3x-1| \\ f(-1)=|-3(-1)-1| \\ f(-1)=|3-1| \\ f(-1)=|2| \\ f(-1)=2 \end{gathered}

(b)

\begin{gathered} f(0)=|-3(0)-1| \\ f(0)=|0-1| \\ f(0)=|-1| \end{gathered}

Here, we recall the absolute rule that;

|-a|=a

Thus, we have;

f(0)=|-1|=1

(c)

\begin{gathered} f(3)=|-3(3)-1| \\ f(3)=|-9-1| \\ f(3)=|-10| \\ f(3)=10 \end{gathered}
