We illustrate the division of fractions by taking the example below.


(5)/(7)/(25)/(14)

The first step is to change the division sign to multiplication by changing the fraction after the division sign.


=(5)/(7)*(14)/(25)

Next, we multiply the numerators together and the denominators together.


=(5*14)/(7*25)

You then simplify by dividing common factors.


\begin{gathered} \\ =(5)/(25)*(14)/(7) \\ =(1)/(5)*2 \\ =(2)/(5) \end{gathered}
