Remember that

In a unit circle, the radius of the circle is 1

see the figure below to better understand the problem

we have that


\sin (30^o)=(y)/(1)

and we know that


\sin (30^o)=(1)/(2)

so


\begin{gathered} (y)/(1)=(1)/(2) \\ y=(1)/(2) \end{gathered}
\cos (30^o)=(x)/(1)

and we know that


\cos (30^o)=\frac{\sqrt[]{3}}{2}

so


x=\frac{\sqrt[]{3}}{2}

therefore

the coordinates (x,y) are


(\frac{\sqrt[]{3}}{2},(1)/(2))
