Solution:

Given;

(2x^3+9x^2-8x+4)/(x-2)

Using Synthetic division;

Thus, the solution is;

(2x^(3)+9x^(2)-8x+4)/(x-2)=2x^2+13x+18+(40)/(x-2)

The quotient is;

2x^2+13x+18

The remainder is;

18
