In order to break down this product, we need to apply the distributive property of the multiplication.

So we need to find the product of each term inside a binomial by each term in the other binomial.

That is, first we find x times x and x times 3, then we find 4 times x and 4 times 3, finally we add them all:


\begin{gathered} (x+4)(x+3)=x\cdot x+x\cdot3+4\cdot x+4\cdot3 \\ =x^2+3x+4x+12=x^2+7x+12 \end{gathered}

So the final expression is x2 + 7x + 12.
