Given,

The kinetic energy of the car, E=2400 J

The speed of the car, v=20 m/s

Kinetic energy is the energy that is possessed by an object due to its motion.

It is given by,

E=(1)/(2)mv^2

Where m is the mass of the car.

On substituting the known values in the above equation,

\begin{gathered} 2400=(1)/(2)* m*20^2 \\ m=(2*2400)/(20^2) \\ =(4800)/(400) \\ =12\text{ kg} \end{gathered}

Thus the mass of the car is 12 kg
