In this case, we have that oil and methane extraction have great impacts on the ocean, as there is always the release of these materials to the surrounding environment causing water pollution, altering the equilibrium of fito and zooplankton the base of the ocean food web, even more, intense human activity in these areas generate fauna displacement and habitat loss. Also in less quantity tend to be a release of methane into the atmosphere which is a powerful greenhouse gas.
