The equation we have is:

-2(k-5)+2k=5k+5

Now we can simply the equation by multiply the -2 into the parenthesis

\begin{gathered} -2k+10+2k=5k+5 \\ 10=5k+5 \end{gathered}

now we can solve for k

\begin{gathered} 10-5=5k \\ 5=5k \\ (5)/(5)=k \\ 1=k \end{gathered}
