Given a cone with base radius, r, and perpendicular height, h,

the volume, V, is given by

V=(1)/(3)*\pi* r^2* h

In this case,

r = 10ft,

h = 17ft,

Therefore,

V=(1)/(3)*\pi*10^2*17=(1700)/(3)\pi

Hence, V = 1780.24 cubic feet

The volume of the cone is 1780.24 cubic feet
