Given the equation:

y=475-60x

Let y = distance

Let x = time

- The distance from Denver when she began is given by x = 0, therefore:

y=475-60(0)=475-0=475

Answer 1. 475 miles

- The change for each four hours, this is x = 4, so:

y=475-60(4)=475-240=235

Answer 2. 235 miles
