Sofia bought a tablet that was 15 % off the regular price of $775.

If a 6% sales tax was added to the cost of the tablet, what was the total price Sofia paid for it?

Answer:

$698.275

≈ ($ 698.28)

Explanation:

First let's find the price of the tablet after the 15% off.

Discount = $ 775 × 15%

775*(15)/(100)

116.25

Tablet after discount = $ 775 - 116.25

= $ 658.75

Now let's find the new price after 6% tax is added

Tax = $ 658.75 × 6%

658.75 * (6)/(100)

$ 39.525

Price of the tablet after tax added = $ 658.75 + 39.525

= $698.275

So, total price she has to paid for it is $698.275

Hope this helps.

Let me know if you any other questions :-)
