We have the function:

f\mleft(x\mright)=-0.4x-10

And we need to find its value when x = -12. So, replacing x with -12, we obtain:

f(-12)=-0.4(-12)-10=4.8-10=-5.2

Notice that the product of two negative numbers is a positive number.

Therefore, the answer is -5.2.
