solve for y


\begin{gathered} (4y)/(4)=-(8)/(4) \\ y=-2 \end{gathered}

then, solve for x


\begin{gathered} 2x-2=4 \\ 2x-2+2=4+2 \\ 2x=6 \\ (2x)/(2)=(6)/(2) \\ x=3 \end{gathered}

x = 3

y = -2
