y\text{ = }(-3)/(4)x\text{ + 1}

The slope-intercept form generally can be represented as;

y\text{ = mx + c}

where m represents the slope and c is the y-intercept

So in this case, we have to make y the subject of the formula;

3x + 4y = 4 will be

4y = 4-3x

4y = -3x + 4

we now need to make y the subject of the formula;

\begin{gathered} (4y)/(4)\text{ = }(-3x)/(4)\text{ + }(4)/(4) \\ \\ y\text{ = }(-3)/(4)x\text{ + 1} \end{gathered}
