y = 114

Explanation:

considering DC || AB the sum of angle <D and angle <A must be equal to 180 because they are supplementary:

5x + x = 180 add like terms

6x = 180 divide both sides by 6

x = 30

Same goes for angle <C and angle <B:

y + 2.2x = 180 we know the value of x is 30

y + 2.2*30 = 180

y + 66 = 180 subtract 66 from both sides

y = 114
