We know that each bow cost $5.25.

We also know that the woman spent a total of $84.

Lets call x the number of bows she bought.

Then, we can write:

\begin{gathered} 5.25\cdot x=84 \\ x=(84)/(5.25)=16 \end{gathered}

The woman bought 16 bows.
