Given:

Diameter = 20 in

Find-:

Area of circle

Explanation-:

The area of circle is:

A=\pi r^2

The radius of circle is:

r=(D)/(2)

Where,

\begin{gathered} r=\text{ Radius} \\ \\ D=\text{ Diameter} \end{gathered}

So the radius of given circle is:

\begin{gathered} D=20\text{ in} \\ \\ r=(D)/(2)\text{ in} \\ \\ r=(20)/(2)\text{ in} \\ \\ r=10\text{ in} \end{gathered}

The area of circle is:

\begin{gathered} A=\pi r^2 \\ \\ A=\pi(10)^2 \\ \\ A=100\pi \\ \\ A=314.159 \\ \\ A=314.2\text{ in}^2 \end{gathered}

So, the area of a circle is 314.2
