sum the parts of the ratio, 2 + 8 + 5 = 15 parts

divide the sum of the angles in a triangle by 15 to find the value of one part of the ratio.

180° ÷ 15 = 12° , then

2 parts = 2 × 12° = 24°

5 parts = 5 × 12° = 60°

8 parts = 8 × 12° = 96°

the 3 angles in the triangle are 24° , 60° , 96°
