The sequation to calculate the slope is,

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

The solpe of line joining (-1,2) and (4,2) is,

\begin{gathered} m=(2-2)/(4+1) \\ m=0 \end{gathered}

The slope of the line joining (-2,-2) and (0,4) is,

\begin{gathered} m=(4+2)/(0+2) \\ m=3 \end{gathered}

The slope of the line joining (1,3) and (-1,4) is,

\begin{gathered} m=(4-3)/(-1-1) \\ m=-(1)/(2) \end{gathered}

Negative slope.

The slope of the line joining (2,4) and (-2,-1) is,

\begin{gathered} m=(-1-4)/(-2-2) \\ m=(5)/(4) \end{gathered}

Positive slope.
