the initial equation is:

(p)/(r)+s=q

To solve for p we can rest s in bout sides so:

\begin{gathered} (p)/(r)+s-s=q-s \\ (p)/(r)=q-s \end{gathered}

Now we can multiply by r so:

\begin{gathered} (p\cdot r)/(r)=(q-s)\cdot r \\ p=(q-s)\cdot r \end{gathered}
