y₂ - y₁ 7 - 6 1 -1

m = ------------ = ----------- = ----------- = ---------

x₂ - x₁ 2 - 10 -8 8

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

y - 6 = (-1/8)(x - 10)

y - 6 = (-1/8)x + (5/4)

+6 +6
