(5+2i)(-3 - 4i)

take this and distribute them to each other

-15 -20i -6i -8i^2

then combine like terms

-15-26i-8i^2

i^2 is always equal to -1, so replace i^2 with -1 in the problem

-15-26i-8(-1)

now solve

-15-26i+8

now combine like terms and you have your answer

-7-26i
