Answer:

y = (1/2)x + (3/2)

Explanation:

(-5, -1), (-1, 1)

(x₁, y₁) (x₂, y₂)

y₂ - y₁ 1 - (-1) 1 + 1 2 1

m = ------------- = ----------- = ------------ = --------- = --------

x₂ - x₁ -1 - (-5) -1 + 5 4 2

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

y - (-1) = (1/2)(x - (-5))

y + 1 = (1/2)(x + 5)

y + 1 = (1/2)x + (5/2)

-1 -1

---------------------------------

y = (1/2)x + (3/2)

I hope this helps!
