If x-1 is a factor f(1)=0

$\\ \sf\longmapsto f(1)=0$

$\\ \sf\longmapsto 1^3+2(1)^2-3=0$

$\\ \sf\longmapsto 1+2-3=0$

$\\ \sf\longmapsto 3-3=0$

$\\ \sf\longmapsto 0=0$
