Answer: Alex Martin, age 90, passed away in his sleep on Saturday, September 22nd, 2022 at his home in California. He was born March 1, 1928 in Ohio.
Preceded in death by parents Marie and Loyd Martin; and sister Sarah Bonnie Martin. Alex was a graduate of Kingston’s Academy and received his Bachelor’s Degree at Ohio Tech University and Masters Degree at University of California. He served in the US army. He lived in Santa Monica. He was our beloved History teacher at Oakland High for 37 years. Alex enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and hiking, spending time with his family. A service to celebrate Alex’s life will be held at 1pm on this Tuesday, September 25th at our school ground.
