Answers are
1. L= 14 cm
2. L= 20.4 cm
3. L= 12 cm

Our formula is 2L + 2W = 48

Substitute given values

1.
2L + 2W = 48
2L + 2(10) = 48
2L + 20 = 48
2L +20 -20 = 48 - 20
2L = 28
L = 14

2.
2L + 2W = 48
2L + 2(3.6) = 48
2L + 7.2 = 48
2L + 7.2 - 7.2 = 48 - 7.2
2L = 40.8
L = 20.4

3.
2L + 2W = 48

W = 12
L = 12

* note, #3 says w = w cm? I assumed if w = w to solve the equation as 2L + 2W = 48 with no variable
