Pls help i am in 8th grade k12 o0A group of workers is harvesting pumpkins at a constant rate. An equation that represents the number of pumpkins the workers picked over a period of time, in hours, is y = 5x + 10.

What are the slope and the y-intercept for the equation that represents the number of pumpkins the workers picked over a period of time?

What are the rate of change and the initial amount? Explain what the rate of change and the initial amount mean for this particular situation.

Use graph paper to draw a graph representing the situation. Label the axes appropriately.

Answer:

1) 5/1 is the slope, and 10 is the y intercept.

2) Inital amount is the y intercept, and 10 is the rate of change.

3) Should be easy from there! Just graph (0,10), and go up 5, right 1, and repeat.

Explanation:

This is in slope intercept form! Where 5 is the slope, and 10 is the y intercept. The rate of change is another way of saying slope, and the inital amount is your starting value, or y intercept.
