Hello!

So, we are given the following to solve:

(1)/(2)- (9)/(4)x=- (2)/(3)

To solve this, subtract
(1)/(2) from both sides.

(1)/(2) -(9)/(4)x- (1)/(2) =-(2)/(3) -(1)/(2)

Simplify.

-(9)/(4)x= -(7)/(6)

Multiply both sides by 4.

4(-(9)/(4)x)=4(-(7)/(6))

Simplify.

-9x=-(14)/(3)

Divide both sides by -9.

(-9x)/(-9)= (-14/3)/(-9)

Finally, simplify.

x=(14)/(27)

Hope this helps!
