3x-15 = 2x - 8

3x-2x= -8+15

x=7

first 3 will multiply by x and -5,which are in bracet like this

3(x-5)= 3x - x -8

after they would became 3x-15 = 2x (because 3x will be subtracted by x) -8

so it will become like this

3x-15=2x-8

after that 3x will be subtracted by 2x like this 3x-2x and -8 will be add in +15 so it would be

x=7
