I need help ASAP !!!! What is 2x-1=3/4x+10 how do you solve it ???

x = 8.8 or x = 44/5

Explanation:

1) Multiply both sides of the equation by 4, and cancel out the 4 on the bottom of 3/4, this turns the equation into: 8x - 4 = 3x + 40

2) Move the x to the lefthand side and change the side, do the same for the constant (4), this turns the equation into: 8x - 3x = 40 + 4

3) Combine like terms, subtract 8x from 3x and add 40 to 4: 5x = 44

4) Divide both sides by 5, and your answer is 44/5 (or 8.8 when converted to a decimal)
