∠ K = ∠ J = 8x + 5

The sum of the 3 angles in the triangle = 180°

sum the angles and equate to 180

8x + 5 + 8x + 5 + 5x - 19 = 180

21x - 9 = 180 ( add 9 to both sides )

21x = 189 ( divide both sides by 21 )

x = 9

Then

∠ J = 8x + 5 = 8(9) + 5 = 72 + 5 = 77°
