First, divide 3/5 by 1/2 giving you 1.2 which as a fraction is 6/5. Now 6/5 = X/10. Since X/10 signifies multiplication, multiply by 10 on both sides to get X alone. Now you have X = 12 or 12/1. Go back to original problem where it says Y=4. It tells us to subtract y from x. Replace Y with 4 in “X-Y” giving you X-4, and replace X with 12 as we got by solving the other equation. Now you have 12-4, which us 8, so the answer is G, 8.
