Why was the Interstate Commerce Act of 1887 significant?

Hello there!

The Interstate Commerce Act showed significant because congress could apply the Commerce Clause, more openly to our national issues if they were more involved commerce across state lines. After 1887, most of our national economy strived through interstate and international commerce!
