One major change was the New Deal. This contained a series of programs brought by rooservelt himself. One of them being Medicare for the poor and Medicaid for the elderly. Another program was Social security act which guarantees pensions for all Americans. He also created the WPA ( Works Progress administration) to provide jobs for unemployed people.
