∠ 2 = 140°

Explanation:

the left base angle in the triangle and 110° are a linear pair and sum to 180°

base angle + 110° = 180° ( subtract 110° from both sides )

base angle = 70°

the 2 sides of the triangle are congruent so Δ is isosceles with base angles congruent.

the vertex of the Δ is then

(180 - 70 - 70)° = 180° - 140° = 40°

the vertex and ∠ 2 are a linear pair and sum to 180° , that is

∠ 2 + 40° = 180° ( subtract 40° from both sides )

∠ 2 = 140°
