Here is a linear equation: y = 1/4x + 2. What is the x-intercept of the graph of the equation? Submit and Explain

To find the -intercept/zero, substitute y=0
0=1/4x+2 mult both sides by 4
0=x+8 Move the variable to the left-hand side and change its sign
-x=8 Change the signs on both sides of the equation
X=-8
