The answer is C. Pseudoscience.

The prefix pseudo- means “not genuine”. This would allow us to discern that pseudoscience is science that is not based on real or genuine facts.

The rest of the answers do not relate to the use of aromatherapy for the relief of headaches…

Astrology is the “study” of the movements of celestial bodies such as stars and planets. Think of horoscopes and zodiac signs. It is classified within the category of pseudoscience.

Phrenology is the study of the conformation (shape and size) of the skull. Carly does not mention that there is a relationship between the shape and size of her skull to the efficacy of aromatherapy.

Astronomy is the science that deals with space and celestial bodies that is based on scientific research.
