Part of an investigator’s job is to look for and collect physical evidence at crime scenes.

What type of evidence do you think might be found at each of the following crime scenes? List at least one example for each. Please number your responses.

1. Burglary scene: Perpetrators broke into an empty house when no one was home.

2. Shooting scene: Perpetrators attempted to harm someone in a drive-by shooting. Fortunately, no one was injured.

3. Drug lab scene: Police discovered a meth lab in an otherwise empty warehouse. The building contained laboratory equipment, chemicals, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.(What can you think of asides from meth or drugs? What are some things that the perpetrators could have left behind?)
