Answer:

The relation is the relationship between two or more sets of values. Suppose, x and y are two sets of ordered pairs. If set x has a relation with set y, then the values of set x are called domain whereas the values of set y are called range. A relation from a set A to a set B is a subset of A×B. Hence, a relation R consists of ordered pairs (a,b), where a∈A and b∈B. If (a,b)∈R, we say that is related to, and we also write aRb. A connection between the elements of two or more sets is a relation. The sets must be non-empty. A subset of the Cartesian product also forms a relation R. A relation may be represented either by the Roster method or by the Set-builder method.
