X = 3

Explanation:

To solve this you want to first make the X variable alone by itself by moving it to the left or right it doesn't really matter, for this I moved it to the left making the new equation

-x = -1 - 2

I then make the 2 a negative using the order of operations and a negative adding a negative makes -3 making the following

-x = -3

then I change the signs making it

x = 3
