y=0.2x+7.4

Explanation:

when you have a line slope and a point then you need to use the point slope form formula. which is y-y1 = m(x-x1). this is where y1 is the y value in the point you have and, the X1 value is the x value in the point you have . and then m is the slope

when you substitute it into this equation you will get y minus -6 = 1/5 times (x minus -7).

this is technically correct but you can actually simplify it to get it into the point slope form like the question asked .

y-6=(1/5)×(x-(-7))

oh by the way here I just converted it to decimals because it's easier

y=0.2x + 1.4 + 6

y= 0.2x + 7.4
