The two angles together are supplementary. Together, they make a straight line and the angle for this is 180

3y + 7 + 3y -13 = 180 Combine like terms

6y -6 = 180 Add 6 to both sides

6y = 186 Divide both sides by 6

y = 31 Now plug this in for the two angels to find their measurements

3y + 7

3(31) + 7

93 + 7 = 100

3y - 13

3(31) - 13

93 -13
