It is given that a = 30°. It is also shown that C is a right angle, thus c = 90°. The interior angles of a triangle always add up to 180°. So:

a + b + c = 180
30 + 90 + b = 180
b + 120 = 180
b + 120 - 120 = 180 - 120
b = 60°
