A. under the articles of confederation the states help majority power while the federal government had little to none. This led to problems with currency,taxes and wartime. States had militias and often disputed over trade and fought with each other. This meant the U.S was not cohesive and/or powerful as a country because of the articles of confederation. Therefore the U.S and its central government were weak.

B. They kept the description of states as a "firm league of friendship".

Each state has a militia or as known now as the national guard.

Allows states to levy taxes also.
